    Description :

    St. Boniface Hospital is looking for people who have a foot ulcer and would be interested in participating in a foot care research opportunity testing a foot therapy method. The purpose of this study is to test the foot therapy method to see its affects on foot ulcers over a 4-month period. Qualified subjects will be expected to complete 50 visits at the St. Boniface Hospital..

    18 years of age and Older

    Other :

    Must have at least one foot ulcer with no infection. Must not have a blood clot. Must not have had a heart attack or stroke in the last month. Must not have any infections, unstable angina, HIV, Hepatitis B or C virus, active cancer or be pregnant. The study is 4 months in duration. Participants will be required to attend 3 visits each week to soak in a foot bath. These visits are approximately 30 minutes. Once each month you will be required to attend a visit which could take approximately an hour. During these visits, the ulcer will be measured, you will complete a questionnaire, and a blood sample will be taken.
